Those who hope in the Lord...

Amazing what a difference a week can make! I had my weekly check-up today and things went a lot better than last week. I have grown 2cm. Yes, I am still small but the doctor was not concerned at all. I asked about the baby and she said that at this point there is no way to tell since it was so soon after our last visit. We'd have to wait several weeks to check her out for growth which would be about the time that she is supposed to arrive anyway.
I did have my moments of fear and wrestling as I mentioned before but I think around yesterday a song popped in my head that we used to sing in college and that is based off the scripture Isaiah 40:31. So I was singing that in my head a lot and finally looked up the exact scripture today so that I can cling to that as well as Zephaniah 3:17. Man, this girl is bathed in scriptures!!! It is so awesome to see God's hand in your kids' lives even before they enter into this world. For Jake it was the story of Hannah and how she prayed for Samuel and when he was about 3 she handed him back over to the Lord. Tough to really do. Here was our scripture for Jake, "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him." 1 Samuel 1:27
It is also interesting to me that for both my children God has led me to the 1st book of Samuel. For Jake it was from 1 Samuel 1 and for Abigail it was the story of David, Nabal and Abigail from chapter 25. Hmmm...
Here is Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
I definitely feel a renewing of the spirit as well as strength.
Thanks for the prayers! Just a little bit longer and she'll be here!

We can't wait to meet Abigail!! I hope things continue to improve and she makes her grand entrance as a happy, healthy newborn. We'll continue to pray for you all.
