T-Kids

*Guess I'm making up for not posting in a while because I have posted twice today! Happy reading! :)
Last night Jake started T-Kids. It's a discipleship program at our church for the kiddos. He absolutely loved it. I was a little sad when we learned that Jake was not going to attend BSF with me this year because we didn't have childcare for Abby. He learned so much from BSF and absolutely loved it and his teachers. (They were AWESOME!!!) However, Jon and I discussed the idea of sending Jake to T-Kids and we agreed that it'd be good for him. He was looking forward to it all day long which was such a great thing to see! When I got home from rehearsal last night Jake couldn't wait to talk about what he learned and most importantly show me his binder.

His binder held his lesson that he does for the rest of the week and it includes his memory verse. I think for him the greatest thing was the little pouch that holds his pencil (and some notecards that daddy gave him). He later realized that he was like mommy in that he had a binder just like me! (I keep one for BSF.) Then he got the idea to put his binder in a bag with his Bible like I do to keep all my BSF stuff together. As we started looking through the lesson and realized that he had a few days of work we discussed how we should wake up together to do our Bible lessons together. Sweet! This morning I woke up to one excited little boy. He ran into my room saying, "Mommy, aren't we going to do our lessons together?" I had accidently overslept! Oops! So this morning he climbed into my bed and together we did our Bible lessons/quiet time. What a sweet time! And what an awesome way to wake up! What better way than to have your kid wake you up eager to spend time with God!!! There's nothing more that I want than for my kids to fall in love with their Creator and develop a relationship with Him! Such sweet times. :)

How neat that Jakob was so excited to start his bible study. What a special time you get to spend with him while you both learn more about God. I'm sure he will remember that time spent with you forever.
