Fun-Filled Weekend

This weekend was one fun-filled weekend for our family. It started out with Friday night going to our church's carnival. We met up with some of our friends and the kids had a blast! Even Abby got to ride the "choo choo chuggin' ". (Sorry no pictures of that night!)

On Saturday night we went to the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival. Our main goal was to go hear a country artist that I LOVE, Kelly Willis. (I am not a huge fan of country music but this girl is good! And she is a Texan!) The kids enjoyed hearing her sing...me too! :) We stayed for a few songs and then came back home to top off the night with a good ol' bowl of ice cream!

The fabulous Kelly Willis!
Today we ventured out to the Amon Carter Museum for Family Fun Day goes modern. It was great to have to kids exposed to different kinds of art. I love art! They had a scavenger hunt where the kids had to find different pieces of art and then learn a little about the piece. At the end we got a prize...a bag of basil seeds! Yea! Love basil! Can't wait to plant it with the kids!

Here is Jakob dancing with some people from Radio Disney
(they were there promoting the event)

And finally we topped our day off with a trip to our favorite grocery store...Central Market! We each got a fun drink and played out on the playground for a while before getting a few groceries. Love our fun family weekends!
