It started on Sunday morning, I woke up to my voice sounding a little raspy. I wanted so badly to retain my voice for as long as I could because it would be my last time to sing on our worship team for a while. (I'm preggers and Abby is taking up all my breathing space!) So, I drank my water like I was told to do and hoped for the best. Got to rehearsal, sang. A little tough but I did it. Worship services began and I sang to my heart's content. I truly love to worship be it corperately or privately. There is something awesome though when you are worshiping with fellow believers. And my voice held out for both services. (This is where I am thankful that our church built a new building that holds alot more than our previous building. We no longer do 4 services, just two! So that's why I believe that my voice held out...ok really it was God!) After nap time that same day I realized that my voice was a little raspier than before. Yikes! And yesterday when I woke up I had absolutely NO voice! As I woke Jake up he was so out of it but he started to whisper to me because that was the only way that I could talk. So funny! I told him that he didn't need to whisper, just that mommy had no voice. Puzzled, he asked if I could clear my throat or something. I told him that wouldn't help. He just had to listen. Ha! Try that with a 4 year old! He did pretty good and I am so thankful that we took the time when he was a baby to teach him sign language. I was able to sign to him alot to converse with him.
Now soccer practice was another story. Kinda hard to yell, "don't go near the street" when you have no voice. We managed though. All in all, yesterday was a quiet day. Hard for me who likes to talk but probably harder for Jon and Jake who had to listen extra hard!
Today I sound like a goose honking alot but hey, at least I have a voice. HONK! HONK!
