No, I didn’t spell that wrong. That is a word used to describe my ever-growing belly. It started when I was getting my pjs for the night. I decided to put a pair of pjs on that I hadn’t worn for a while. They are not maternity and I say this not to brag but rather to say that since this is our last kid I am prolonging the inevitable which is that I will soon need to buy pjs but I am too cheap to buy some now. I‘d rather spend our money on the baby room…wouldn’t you? So I put on my pjs (they are drawstring pants with a button up shirt) and I started to laugh to myself as I realized that I would not be able to button all the way much longer. Jon was getting Jake ready for bed and I walked into his bathroom giggling at the sight of me in my pjs. When Jake turned around he said, “That is the most humous belly I have ever seen!” We all got a good laugh after we realized that he was trying to say humongous. To this day if I am wearing a dress or a form-fitting shirt he’ll turn to me and say, “Mommy…your belly is HUMOUS!”
Note: The pics are not me in my pjs…didn’t get that shot but this is close enough.
