Today we journeyed to a place called Natty Flats Smokehouse west of Weatherford. We have eaten there before and love the food. We just wanted to go out there to see the owner and just do a fun little family day. The owner is a former co-worker of Jon’s, Roy Dennis. (If you ever go there tell him we sent you!) We spent time visiting with him and then Jake and Jon got a behind the scenes tour of things at the smokehouse. It is neat because they have a blacksmith there and a great store where everything there is wood carved by the owner’s brother, Larry. Larry makes amazing things from doors, to homes (he even made Willie Nelson’s home), to rocking chairs, mantles and everything in between. In fact, in front of the store is the world’s largest rocking chair that he made! Seriously, it is in the Guinness Book of World Records. And we got permission to sit in it or rather stand on it since it was HOT! Abby is not there because we would have had to find a creative way to get her up. We didn’t want to pull a Michael Jackson dangling a baby over the edge of the rocking chair.
Jake on a horse made entirely of horseshoes. You too can own this horse for $8100!

Leigh,
It is sooo good to get to see what a day in the life of you looks like. Abby is beautiful. I still have her gift sitting in my closet, as I was hoping to make it to your shower. My goal is to get it in the mail at the end of the week! Love to touch base with you sometime.
Erin
