False Teacher

For those of you who know me, I am NOT a fan of Oprah. I have always felt that she goes whichever way the wind blows. Whatever “new” thing that is out there she follows.
Case in point: watch and learn from this You Tube video. It sickens me to think that women and men follow her and hang on her every word. They truly consider what she says to be gospel and it is DANGEROUS! Yes, I am on my soapbox here and I will rarely do this because I truly believe that people need to make their own decisions about things. However, my thought process as I was watching this video was that we as Christians really need to know our scriptures. It is our responsibility!!! Not just for ourselves but our kids as well! If not, we will fall prey to these false teachers and easily be led astray. I am sure that I will be stepping on people’s toes but hey we all need to be held accountable for what we put into our minds.
Here are some scriptures to keep in mind as you watch:
Matthew 22: 29 Jesus talking to the Sadducees “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”
Colossians 2:8 “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.”
2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
