Friends

I just have to say that I have been blessed with some amazing friends! I have 4 wonderful hostesses for my baby shower coming up in a couple of weeks and they are all truly amazing women. For example, this card here. Yes, this is a card and not only a card but my baby shower invitation made by two of my dearest friends, Missy and Shelley! Wow! I know that took a lot of time to do and I am very appreciative. Isn’t it just the cutest thing in the world?

To top that off one of the girls who made it just got done making invitations for her sister-in-law’s baby shower just a few weeks ago! Kudos Missy!
Another dear friend has helped me out tremendously with choosing the right color for Abby’s bedroom. Who knew that could be a task in itself. Stacey came over one day to let her boys play with Jake and we sat in Abby’s room choosing what I thought I wanted-green. That was fun and daunting when I realized all the little things that you need to think about when it comes to choosing the right color. Later that night Jon and Jake put together Abby’s bed and we thought that pink would go a lot better since we have a dark espresso colored crib. So, I called Stacey the next day and said that we were going to go with pink. Rather than say cool and be done with it, she insisted on coming by another day to help me choose the right shade of pink. She helped me with everything from what to say to the people at Sherwin Williams to asking about the undertones and the make-up of the color. That took a week long process finding the right shade and it resulted in Stacey calling her painter and running to a different paint store to buy 2 different quarts of pinks so that I could try them out. All this while having her 2 year old with her and waiting for her 4 year old to finish with Zoo School. Talk about friends going above and beyond the call of duty. By the way, I think we landed on a color-the one on the far left bottom. (Kind of hard to see I'm sure.) Iced Pink. Makes me think about those iced animal cookies that I used to eat when I was a kid. Yummy!

And Aprel, my other hostess, who so graciously offered her home to host my shower…I can only imagine what she’s got cookin’. Talk about a woman who has a heart for hospitality!!!! She’s awesome and so thoughtful! I am very much looking forward to Abby’s shower! I’ll definitely post pics once the shower has come and gone!
